WELCOME! Here we’ll give you a quick overview of how things work.  There are two types of users — those who want to book properties, and those who want to make their properties available for rental.  Start by clicking “Signup” at the top of the web site. You’ll then need to make a choice indicating what type of user you want to be:

For those only wanting to reserve and stay at other person’s properties …

… choose “I only want to book”.   That’s it … you can start searching and booking properties immediately. Once you find a property you’re interested in, use the features of the web site to contact the property owner.

For those also wanting to post their own properties for others to rent …

… then choose “I want to rent my property” when signing up.

1.  Then, once logged in, click on the “Add New Listing” in order to post your property for rental and follow the on screen prompts. 

2.  The first time you submit a property for listing on RentFromFriends.com, it will need to be approved by the administrator of Rent from Friends. When you are happy with your listing, and you have completed it by uploading pictures of your property, setting your pricing preferences, etc, please send an email to info@RentFromFriends.com asking for approval and we will be in contact with you. The approval process usually happens within 24-72 hours, but if you need quicker service, let us know.

3.  Once approved, your property will become available for rental immediately by those using the Rent from Friends site.

4.  Users who rent your property will be required to pay in full for the reservation via credit card or PayPal.

5.  A service fee of 5% will be taken from the payment as the standard charge from Rent from Friends in addition to the PayPal fees incurred by the payment transaction. The remainder funds will be released to you within 3 business days (72 hours) after your guest’s scheduled check-in time.
